The Chinese state newspaper People’s Daily reported that around ten thousand people were singing songs in the Beijing Workers’ Stadium. The event was primarily sponsored by the Central Propaganda Department of the Chinese Communist Party, the Beijing Municipal Committee of the Party and the Beijing City government. The “patriotic” songs were mainly to praise the fighting history of the Communist Party and to praise the Reform Policy.
