The Times reported that the United Kingdom’s counter-intelligence and security agency, M15, chief Jonathan Evans wrote confidentially to 300 chief executives of major companies and security chiefs of banks warning them of electronic attacks from "Chinese state organizations."
According to Xinhua, on November 30, 2007, Chinese troops traveled on the high-speed Qinghai-Tibet railway from Mainland China to Lasha. It was the first time they had done so since the world’s highest railway line was officially inaugurated on July 1, 2007.

On October 11, 2007, Xinhua Net reported that Sun Laiyan, Deputy Director of the Commission of Science Technology and Industry for National Defense (COSTIND) and General of the China National Space Administration (CNSA), stated that China’s space industry was established in 1956 and has continued to grow. Currently China has five capabiliities, including entering space and sending people into space.
