The article said, “After winning the general election, Obama immediately decided to visit the countries in the Asia-Pacific region. The ‘Big Three’—the President, the Secretary of State, and the Secretary of Defense—all suddenly gathered in the same region in a period of less than 10 days. It is unheard of in the history of the United States. Why would Obama organize such a ‘luxury diplomatic team’ to visit the Asia-Pacific region?”
The 18th CCP Congress Proposes Maritime Strategy to Power the Nation and Emphasize Maritime Rights
Huanqiu (Global Times, a division of People’s Daily) republished an editorial article from Hong Kong’s Wenweipo (a Chinese Communist Party mouthpiece in Hong Kong) titled “The 18th CCP Congress Proposes Maritime Strategy to Power the Nation and Emphasize Maritime Rights." The article said, “The 18th CCP Congress report stressed building a maritime power. It is a comprehensive strategic choice in response to the complex situation in the surrounding countries. It can be expected that China’s efforts to protect its maritime rights will continue to increase. China will use the “United Nations Convention on the Law of the Sea" to defend China’s core interests and development interests in the international community. The article warned, “If some countries continue to ignore China’s stance and counter-measures, they will only bear the consequences of their own acts (reap what they have sown).”

People’s Daily: Any Reform of the Political System Could Endanger the Survival of the CCP
On November 11, 2012, People’s Daily published an article on Hu Jintao’s speech supporting the Parity’s continuous tight grip on China. Hu Jintao, the Chinese Communist Party’s (CCP’s) top leader, said at the opening of the Party’s 18th National Congress on November 8, 2012, “We must not take the old path that is closed and rigid, nor must we take the evil road of changing flags and banners.”
The People’s Daily article suggested that any reform of the political system could endanger the survival of the CCP.

Qiushi: The Essence and Characteristics of the China Model
On November 12, 2012, Qiushi, a journal of the Central Committee of the Chinese Communist Party, published an article titled, “The Essence and Characteristics of the ‘China Model.’” The article summarized three basic characteristics of the “China Model”: 1) The Chinese Communist Party holds the core leadership position. 2) The state-owned economy is dominant. 3) The government plays the guiding role in the development of the national economy.
The article concluded, “The success of the ‘China Model’ is due to the fact that (China) has unswervingly adhered to the Party’s leadership and the socialist system.”

China Review News: China Has Developed the CM-506KG Airborne Smart Ammunition Series
China Review News reported on November 12, 2012, that China has developed the CM-506KG Airborne Smart Ammunition Series. Called the “Diamond Back” bomb, it can effectively destroy targets on the ground or in the water as far as 130 kilometers (80 miles) away; it is comparable to a similar U.S. made bomb.
