Xinhua Interview: What to Expect from Trump’s First Visit to China

Xinhuanet had an exclusive interview with Diao Daming, an associate professor at the School of International Relations at Renmin University of China, discussing the important aspects of U.S. President Donald Trump’s visit to China from China’s perspective.

Diao Daming believes that the significance of this visit lies mainly in building a new type of international relationship and a common community of human destinies. The foundation of this new type of international relationship will be the building of a new type of Sino-U.S. Relationship.

Regarding the factors to which China should pay attention on this visit, Diao discussed the following:

The first important factor is whether this visit can form a consensus position for Sino-U.S. relations in the new era.

“As China moves to the center stage of the world and takes an active position in shaping the relations between China and the United States, it is noteworthy whether the Trump administration has a positive and clear expression toward the issues that concern China, such as the AIIB and the One Belt and Road initiative. We should pay attention to whether the United States responds to our above concerns.”

In addition, this visit will be the third official meeting between Xi and Trump. As Trump’s first visit to China this year, another factor to consider is whether or not there are special arrangements and special forms to enhance the mutual trust between the leaders of the two countries and between the two countries.

RFI Chinese: Chinese Drug Lords Replace South Americans as Primary U.S. Drug Suppliers

Radio France Internationale (RFI) recently reported that U.S. President Trump declared national public health emergencies twice this year because of the opioid epidemic. According to the U.S. Drug Enforcement Administration and The White House Office of National Drug Control Policy, China is the supplier of almost the entire source of opioid type drugs, the main one being Fentanyl. Fentanyl is around ten times stronger than Heroin. Proven records show that at least 12 Chinese drug companies have had online commercials claiming they could export Fentanyl to the United States and Canada for US$2,750 per kilogram. Most of the Chinese Fentanyl was first shipped to Mexico and then smuggled into the United States. The Chinese supplied all of the opioid drugs that a recently captured New York 34-person drug dealership retailed. In fact, all of the drug cartels that were cracked down on this year sourced their opioid drugs from China. The latest illegal marijuana-planting group arrested in California after the state’s legalization of marijuana was Chinese and Chinese sources funded the group.

LTN: The FBI Nearly Arrested Chinese Officials

The major Taiwanese news source, Liberty Times Network (LTN), recently reported that China sent four State Security officials to the United States in May to try to convince the exiled Chinese businessman Guo Wengui to return to China. One of the four agents was Liu Yanping, Secretary of the Commission for Discipline Inspection of the Ministry of State Security. The Chinese government asked Guo to stop talking about topics involving political scandal, as he had been doing for months. The FBI followed the Chinese agents for their entire trip and nearly arrested them before they boarded their return flight. However, because the White House, the State Department, the Department of Justice, and the Pentagon could not reach an agreement on this action, they called off the arrest. In the end, the FBI did confiscate the cell phones that belonged to the Chinese officials. The U.S. government decided to protect Guo Wengui, due to his deep insider knowledge of Chinese politics, and because of his use as a “bargaining chip.”

Ministry of Foreign Affairs: Taiwan Leader’s Intention is Obvious When She Stops in the U.S.

According to a recent article, People’s Daily reported on a Press Conference that the Ministry of Foreign Affairs held on October 28, in which a question was raised about Tsai Ing-wen, the President of Taiwan, stopping at Hawaii and Guam when she visits three diplomatic allies in the Pacific Ocean: “Does China plan to raise its concerns or negotiate with the U.S?” The answer was that “One China” is commonly recognized internationally and has always been the principal when China deals with Taiwan’s foreign policy. As to the Taiwan leader making a stop in the U.S., her real intention is obvious. We wish that the U.S. would comply with the “One China” policy as well as the rules contained within the Sino – US Joint Communiqué and not let her enter the U.S. It will send a false signal to the “Taiwan Independence” forces. The U.S. should take necessary action to safeguard the big picture of the Sino-U.S. relationship and the peace and stability in the Taiwan region. China has lodged solemn representations to the U.S.

Duowei: Whoever Is Bringing Disaster to the World, China Comes to the Rescue

Duowei, a Beijing-controlled Chinese news media stationed overseas, published an article discussing China’s “Belt and Road” initiative as the future of global governance. Below is an excerpt from the article:

A number of problems and difficulties have gradually emerged in the current practice of globalization and global governance. Globalization has suffered twists and turns, including de-globalization, anti-globalization phenomena. The global challenges are increasingly grim. The shortcomings of the existing global governance system continue to emerge. These shortcomings are mainly reflected in the imperfect value system of global governance, the ineffectiveness of the governance mechanism, a lack of consensus between sovereign states, especially between major powers, and the large number of negative effects the hegemony of the United States has contributed in recent decades. This is especially true since the U.S. put forward its national priority strategy. Therefore, seeking new global governance values and practices has become the consensus of the international community.

Given this situation and context, the “The Belt and Road” initiative is undoubtedly an innovation to the existing global governance model.

At “The Belt and Road” Construction and Global Governance International Forum held at Renmin University of China on September 30, Wu Zhicheng, director of the Institute of Global Issues of Nankai University, and special researcher from the Contemporary World Research Center at the International Department Central Committee of the CPC (Communist Party of China), pointed out that the “Belt and Road” initiative is a new value in global governance that focuses on peaceful development. The Western countries are the main creators of the values of the current global governance. It has become more and more outdated in meeting the needs of current global governance practices. Countries looking for development are gradually freeing themselves from the Western “universal values” and the “Washington consensus” superstition and are beginning to explore other development paths.

Starting from Eurasian countries, the “Belt and Road” initiative is taking the approach of step-by-step cross-regional governance. It will also have a radiation effect in the Eurasian continent, slowly affecting more areas, and more countries and regions. That is, from points joining to a surface, from a line to a region, it will form a cross-regional and global cooperation governance situation.

Chinese Scholar Predicts that, in 20 Years, the World Will Be Only China and a Foreign Country

Jin Canrong, who is Vice President and Professor at the Institute of International Relations at Renmin (People’s) University of China, published an article in Global Times (Huanqiu) claiming that, in 20 years, China will rise to be “tops” in the world.
Jin stated that China has completed the necessary reforms and a revolution of the social structure for industrialization. He said, based on the current growth rate, that in 10 years the scale of China’s manufacturing industry will exceed the sum of the U.S., Japan, and the E.U.  In 20 years, from the perspective of the manufacturing industry, the world may only have two “countries.” One will be China; the other will be a “foreign country.” Furthermore, China’s scale will be greater than the “foreign country.”

In conclusion, he pointed out that after the success of industrialization, China’ interest in globalization and global governance will increase. Especially in 2016 at the G20 summit in Hangzhou, China proposed “China programs” on many international issues. Therefore, it is reasonable to say that China is gradually moving towards a complete modernization.

Guo Wengui on China’s Plan to Ruin the United States

After his speech at the Hudson Institute was cancelled, Guo Wengui, a former Chinese business tycoon from China who is now actively exposing the Communist Party officials’ corruption, issued a press release and held a press conference at the National Press Club on October 5.

Guo showed those present a document, claiming it was a top secret document from China, dated April 27, 2017. The title was, “The Response of the Office of the State Council regarding the Office of the (Communist Party’s) Central National Committee’s Plan to Secretly Send 27 State Security Officers including He Jianfeng to the U.S. to Perform Job Duties.” Guo said that He Jianfeng was from the State Security office and was mainly responsible for collecting intelligence on the U.S. and for controlling the spy network there. “Twenty eight people except He have already come to the United States. Their main base was the Bank of China in New York. Also (some went to) the Chinese Embassy in Washington, D.C. and to some Chinese organizations. Another 50 people came (to the U.S.) later.” The Chinese government later denied the authenticity of the document.

Guo stated that China has a complete “BGY” plan to control the world. “BGY” stands for, “The plan (which) includes Blue (control the Internet), Gold (buy influence with money), and Yellow (seduce key people with sex). Guo also said that China has a second plan called “3F” and both plans are to ruin the U.S. and to assure that China controls the world.

Guo Wengui: Jiang Zemin’s Dark Silent Force in the U.S. Conquered the Hudson Institute

Guo Wengui, a former Chinese business tycoon who is now actively exposing Communist Party officials’ corruption, had planned to give a speech at the Hudson Institute on October 4. However, the think tank notified him one day before the speech that the event had been cancelled.

Hudson Institute spokesperson David Tell said that the institute received emails from China, protesting the event. Bill Gertz from The Washington Free Beacon, who was supposed to host Guo’s speech, said that the Chinese Embassy pressured his newspaper multiple times and even threatened to deny its scholar the right to visit China.

The Hudson Institute also received a cyber attachment from Shanghai.

Guo Wengui commented that people related to Jiang Zemin {Former General Secretary of the Communist Party of China from 1989 to 204} might have maneuvered the cancellation.

Guo disclosed earlier that, from 2004 to 2008, Jiang Zemin’s son Jiang Mianheng (江绵恒) had three kidney transplants which involved killing five people. His surgeon was found to have “jumped out of his building.” The surgeon’s family members fled to Malaysia and China’s State Security officers persuaded them to return to China. They flew there in Malaysia’s airplane #370 on March 8, 2014. That plane went missing forever.

“An American said (to me) that Jiang Mianheng (江绵恒) was very unhappy with my exposing his organ transplants. (He) said that was a main reason that the Hudson Institute speech was cancelled. (He) said that (I) cannot prove (Jiang Mianheng’s transplants) nor can I prove that the surgeon’s family members died on Malaysia’s airplane #370.”

“I have never commented on (Jiang Mianheng’s) organ transplants. I only talked about the fact. Jiang Mianheng had three kidney transplants. Five people died! Who were these five people? Why did they have to die after their kidneys were removed?”

“Jiang Mianheng used Jiang Zemin’s dark silent force in the U.S. to conquer the Hudson Institute!”
